Whoever sat across the table from the Dolphins should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.
Landing Greenfield that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 24th overall pick they get protection for the quarterback. A real need, handled.
A slide stopped in slot 55, with Keon Coleman worth more than the price. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Cade Stover in the Round 3 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Jarrian Jones at Round 5, Pick 22 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Layden Robinson in No. 184. The roster fit checks out.
They barely believed it either: Jha'Quan Jackson still on the board at the 198th pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Garret Greenfield in slot 241, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
