Somebody in the 241st overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Dolphins sat still while Evan Williams, the No. 215 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get protection for the quarterback at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Braden Fiske at pick 55 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A tidy bit of business in the 61st pick, where Edgerrin Cooper graded well above the range. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A slide stopped in pick No. 158, with Luke McCaffrey worth more than the price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.

Cornelius Johnson slipping to the 198th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Steal is underselling it; Evan Williams at Round 7, Pick 21 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
