The trade table was where it all came apart. The Dolphins shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. The math is unkind, and the D+ follows.
Every board in the league had Daniels lower, and that gap is the story. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Haulcy at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
Pick-by-Pick
A quiet steal in Round 1, Pick 11: Jeremiyah Love for less than the market said. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
In the 30th overall pick they get the heartbeat of the defense at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
Colton Hood in slot 32 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It adds depth where they could use a little.
A straight-up fair deal on Zion Young at the 43rd pick, value and slot in agreement. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
You do not let a safety like A.J. Haulcy reach pick No. 87 and blink. They did not. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Elijah Sarratt at the Round 3 slot is the proof. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Ted Hurst at pick 94. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Jack Endries in the 130th overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
