The Packers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Josh Proctor, the No. 187 name on the board, in the Round 6 slot.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
The board had Keon Coleman higher than slot 41, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. The roster fit checks out.
Christian Mahogany at the 88th pick is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
McKinnley Jackson in pick No. 91 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Nice patience on Max Melton, who had no business lasting to Round 4, Pick 25. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Javon Foster in pick 135. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They robbed the room for Julian Pearl here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.

Kingsley Eguakun in the Round 7 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A need, and now a little less of one.
No edge and no loss on Zion Logue in Round 7, Pick 26; it is a wash and a sensible one. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
