It is the swing that defines the weekend: Kedon Slovis in slot 252, a good 53 spots before the room expected him.
However the rest shakes out, King at that price is a win they earned. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Adding Cooper Rush by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 32 they get a weapon on the perimeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
A tidy bit of business in the 64th pick, where Xavier Worthy graded well above the range. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Fair-plus on Dominick Puni, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A quiet steal in the 132nd overall pick: Javon Foster for less than the market said. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They robbed the room for Kalen King here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Good price on Javion Cohen in Round 5, Pick 38, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A slide stopped in pick No. 216, with Jaylan Ford worth more than the price. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Value said wait; Kedon Slovis in the Round 7 slot says they were not listening. A need, and now a little less of one.
