The Cowboys bet big and early on Jayson Jones, 86 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The Nelson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
