Larceny in the 122nd pick lands the Packers a B, Williams and all.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Packers were there to profit. Savion Williams, the No. 89 name on the board, should have been long gone before slot 122. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk. Their trades came out a wash either way.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.23 · Pick 23 · Shavon Revel Jr. · CB · rank 25
In the Round 1 slot they get a ballhawk on the outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.22 · Pick 54 · Alfred Collins · DT · rank 58
Alfred Collins at slot 54 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
R3.31 · Pick 95 · Azareye'h Thomas · CB · rank 102
Azareye'h Thomas in the 95th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R4.21 · Pick 122 · Savion Williams · WR · rank 89
A wide receiver of that caliber at pick No. 122 is the definition of value, full stop. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R4.27 · Pick 128 · Luke Kandra · OG · rank 109
Circle this one: Luke Kandra at the 128th pick is a fall that decides a draft. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
