You could see the war room lean forward. Emmanuel McNeil-Warren at Round 3, Pick 36 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.26 · Pick 58 · Lee Hunter · DT · rank 49
Value with a capital V on Lee Hunter in pick 58, a genuine coup. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R3.17 · Pick 81 · Jacob Rodriguez · LB · rank 74
Jacob Rodriguez in No. 81 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R3.24 · Pick 88 · Domonique Orange · DT · rank 78
Domonique Orange is a better player than Round 3, Pick 24 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R3.36 · Pick 100 · Emmanuel McNeil-Warren · S · rank 52
They robbed the room for Emmanuel McNeil-Warren here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R4.24 · Pick 124 · Bryce Lance · WR · rank 122
Bryce Lance at pick No. 124 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R4.27 · Pick 127 · Oscar Delp · TE · rank 127
By-the-book stuff, Oscar Delp at the Round 4 slot squarely in line with his ranking. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R5.24 · Pick 164 · Jalen Farmer · OG · rank 161
They did well to land Jalen Farmer in slot 164, just ahead of his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R5.26 · Pick 166 · Demond Claiborne · RB · rank 157
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Demond Claiborne at the 166th pick. It fills a real need, too.
R6.22 · Pick 203 · Ephesians Prysock · CB · rank 186
The board had Ephesians Prysock higher than No. 203, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R7.17 · Pick 233 · Zavion Thomas · WR · rank 218
Zavion Thomas at the Round 7 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R7.24 · Pick 240 · Trey Zuhn III · OT · rank 239
Trey Zuhn III in pick 240 is fair value, right on his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R7.29 · Pick 245 · Josh Cuevas · TE · rank 235
Josh Cuevas at Round 7, Pick 29 is money in the bank, a tight end taken below his worth. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
