Call it larceny. Tre Harris sat on the board until pick 215, and the Packers did not need to be asked twice.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
It is a haul that will look even better come September.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 25 they get juice off the edge at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
They barely believed it either: Jabbar Muhammad still on the board at pick 55. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Circle this one: Ajani Cornelius at No. 86 is a fall that decides a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A tidy bit of business in the Round 3 slot, where Parker Brailsford graded well above the range. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Earnest Greene III in pick No. 119 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Xavier Restrepo at the 151st pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Jordan Hancock in Round 5, Pick 25, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Taking Garrett Nussmeier in the 183rd overall pick is close to grand larceny; a quarterback that good had no business lasting this long. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They will replay Tre Harris at No. 215 for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
