The Eagles spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Amarius Mims, the No. 24 name on the board, in pick No. 50.
For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Adding Demario Davis by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
Somehow Amarius Mims was still sitting there in the 50th overall pick, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Edgerrin Cooper at pick No. 53 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A minor itch, scratched.
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Johnny Wilson. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Kitan Oladapo in slot 161 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
By-the-book stuff, Khristian Boyd at the Round 5 slot squarely in line with his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Ro Torrence at No. 172 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A tidy bit of business in the 210th pick, where Jase McClellan graded well above the range. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
