You could see the war room lean forward. Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint at Round 7, Pick 11 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

They will need Duke to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.24 · Pick 24 · Amarius Mims · OT · rank 23
In slot 24 they get a plug-and-play piece up front. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
R2.24 · Pick 56 · Zach Frazier · C · rank 61
No edge and no loss on Zach Frazier in pick 56; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R3.24 · Pick 87 · Trey Benson · RB · rank 94
Trey Benson in the 87th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R5.37 · Pick 173 · Jaylan Ford · LB · rank 195
They reached into another round for Jaylan Ford, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R6.38 · Pick 213 · JD Bertrand · LB · rank 210
A clean, defensible pick in the 213th pick with a little surplus value in JD Bertrand. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R7.11 · Pick 231 · Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint · WR · rank 197
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint in Round 7, Pick 11 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R7.22 · Pick 242 · Khalid Duke · DE-EDGE · rank 269
They reached a country mile for Khalid Duke at pick No. 242, and the board is aghast. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
