You could see the war room lean forward. Turner Corcoran at Round 7, Pick 7 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Adding Dalton Schultz by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.
Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

In the 20th pick they get a press-man option on the boundary. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A tidy little value on Kalen King in slot 53, a step better than break-even. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
T'Vondre Sweat at the 57th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A straight-up fair deal on Jaden Hicks at pick No. 124, value and slot in agreement. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They did well to land Javion Cohen in the Round 5 slot, just ahead of his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Fair-plus on Joe Milton III, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A need, and now a little less of one.
No edge and no loss on Theo Wease Jr. in pick 172; it is a wash and a sensible one. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A offensive lineman of that caliber at Round 7, Pick 7 is the definition of value, full stop. The roster fit checks out.
Sheridan Jones at pick 233 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
