The Commanders spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

However the rest shakes out, Jackson at that price is a win they earned. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. The Commanders clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
