When a board-topper like Brian Thomas Jr. slides to the Round 2 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Packers did not.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They are betting Smith proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 25 they get a cornerstone up front, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Quinyon Mitchell at the 27th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
