The Patriots spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

Reaching for Turner III left real value on the table behind him. McCaffrey falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

In the end it comes back to Jayden Daniels, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
