Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Domonique Orange got past him. The Giants do not have to explain a thing at slot 105.
The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 5 they get a three-down second-level presence. More want than need.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Olaivavega Ioane at the 37th pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Domonique Orange at slot 105 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A straight-up fair deal on CJ Daniels at pick No. 145, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Kaleb Elarms-Orr is a better player than the Round 6 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Domani Jackson at the 192nd overall pick is the proof. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A quiet steal in pick 193: Keagen Trost for less than the market said. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
