Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Packers spent No. 246 on Hayden Hatten, a name the board had a full 55 spots lower.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The Smith value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
