The Packers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Kamari Lassiter fell into the 97th pick. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They are betting Hartman proves the room right and everyone else wrong. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
