There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Packers started one anyway for Charles Turner III, 56 picks ahead of schedule. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. However the rest shakes out, Robinson at that price is a win they earned. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th overall pick they get a sticky cover corner. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A straight-up fair deal on Byron Murphy II at pick No. 41, value and slot in agreement. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
The board fumbled Chop Robinson all the way to No. 57, and they scooped it up. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A conviction pick on Audric Estime at Round 3, Pick 25 that the board grades a round light. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Junior Colson in the 91st pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A minor itch, scratched.
No edge and no loss on Javon Foster in the Round 4 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They went early on Javion Cohen in the 135th overall pick, and the value did not follow. The roster fit checks out.
Jalen Green in slot 203 is fair value, right on his grade. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
A clean, defensible pick in Round 6, Pick 42 with a little surplus value in Isaiah Neyor. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They took Daequan Hardy at par in pick No. 219, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They talked themselves into Charles Turner III at the Round 7 slot, and the board did not agree. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
