The tape said wait; the Packers did not. Zion Logue went at the Round 6 slot, a good 47 picks before the board was ready.
On value alone, Neyor makes the weekend a net positive. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a ballhawk on the outside. The biggest hole, addressed.
They paid up for Mekhi Wingo at slot 57 when waiting would have done the job. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Edgerrin Cooper slid further than he should have, and pick 69 is lovely value for the linebacker. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Christian Mahogany in the 88th overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A need, and now a little less of one.
Sedrick Van Pran in the 91st pick is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Jaylen Wright at the Round 4 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jalen Green well ahead of where he belonged. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Zion Logue this early at slot 203. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Sam Hartman at Round 6, Pick 41 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
You do not let a wide receiver like Isaiah Neyor reach the Round 7 slot and blink. They did not. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
No edge and no loss on Ja'Had Carter in pick 251; it is a wash and a sensible one. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
