Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Malik Mustapha got past him. The Packers do not have to explain a thing at pick No. 168. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

Every board in the league had Thompson lower, and that gap is the story. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
