When a board-topper like Blake Fisher slides to No. 135, you do not overthink it, and the Packers did not.
They are betting Wright proves the room right and everyone else wrong. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a disruptor off the edge, though they paid up to get him. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Byron Murphy II in No. 41 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
T'Vondre Sweat at pick No. 57 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A slide stopped in the 88th overall pick, with Cooper Beebe worth more than the price. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Nice patience on Junior Colson, who had no business lasting to the Round 3 slot. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
A big swing on Jaylen Wright at pick 125, well ahead of any board in the building. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.

Jalen Green in the 203rd pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Maurice Smith this early at slot 217. The roster fit checks out.
Good price on Myles Jones in No. 219, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Brennan Armstrong at pick 246 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
