The Packers went off the board in a big way for Will Putnam, 56 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

The Proctor pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

The trade work was a quiet net positive.
