The Packers torched the value chart for Hayden Hatten, taking him 82 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. However the rest shakes out, Logue at that price is a win they earned.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Bralen Trice · DE-EDGE · rank 22
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 1 slot with a little surplus value in Bralen Trice. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · Byron Murphy II · DL · rank 43
Byron Murphy II at No. 41 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R2.26 · Pick 58 · Josh Newton · CB · rank 58
By-the-book stuff, Josh Newton at Round 2, Pick 26 squarely in line with his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R3.25 · Pick 88 · Sedrick Van Pran · C · rank 90
They paid sticker price for Sedrick Van Pran in slot 88, and that is fine. It fills a real need, too.
R3.29 · Pick 92 · Zak Zinter · OG · rank 94
Zak Zinter in the 92nd pick is fair value, right on his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R4.25 · Pick 125 · Jaylen Wright · RB · rank 154
Value said wait; Jaylen Wright in the 125th overall pick says they were not listening. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R4.35 · Pick 135 · James Williams · S · rank 130
James Williams at pick No. 135 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It adds depth where they could use a little.
R5.27 · Pick 163 · Chau Smith-Wade · CB · rank 158
A tidy little value on Chau Smith-Wade in the Round 5 slot, a step better than break-even. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R6.28 · Pick 203 · Steele Chambers · LB · rank 222
They reached a country mile for Steele Chambers at pick 203, and the board is aghast. A minor need, but a need all the same.
R6.42 · Pick 217 · Jase McClellan · RB · rank 209
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jase McClellan at Round 6, Pick 42 is the proof. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R6.44 · Pick 219 · Hayden Hatten · WR · rank 301
Hayden Hatten in No. 219 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R7.19 · Pick 239 · Nathaniel Watson · LB · rank 231
Value with a capital V on Nathaniel Watson in the 239th overall pick, a genuine coup. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
R7.34 · Pick 254 · Zion Logue · DL · rank 241
Zion Logue is a better player than slot 254 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A need, and now a little less of one.
