The tape said wait; the Packers did not. Hayden Hatten went at pick No. 246, a good 55 picks before the board was ready.

The Eichenberg pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with tight end still on the board. They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it. However the rest shakes out, Hartman at that price is a win they earned.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
