B
Green Bay Packers
More right than wrong for the Packers, and a B to prove it.

2024 NFL Draft
· 13 picks
· 2 steals
· 1 reaches
Everything else got attention, and running back got none. That is a strange way for the Packers to leave a draft. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Turner. The cost of the Green reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 25 they get a premier pass rusher, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A tidy little value on Emeka Egbuka in the 42nd overall pick, a step better than break-even. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kingsley Suamataia. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Nothing to complain about; Cooper Beebe went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It fills a real need, too.
Michael Hall Jr. at Round 3, Pick 29 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
Khyree Jackson at pick No. 108 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
No drama and no debate, Kris Abrams-Draine went about where he belonged in pick 125. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Cedric Gray in No. 135 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Chau Smith-Wade at pick 179. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
No edge and no loss on Aki Ogunbiyi in the 203rd pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Jalen Green in slot 217 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Christian Jones at pick No. 219 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. The roster fit checks out.
A straight-up fair deal on Taulia Tagovailoa at No. 246, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
