The board owed the Packers one, and it paid up: Ricky Pearsall, the No. 200 name on the board, sitting there at the 240th pick like a gift left on the doorstep.
They will need Hartman to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 19 they get an island corner at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Xavier Legette in the 40th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A slide stopped in slot 51, with Troy Fautanu worth more than the price. The roster fit checks out.
TreVeyon Henderson at No. 83 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

Value with a capital V on Tykee Smith in the 135th overall pick, a genuine coup. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Michael Barrett in pick 197 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They barely believed it either: Darius Robinson still on the board at the 217th pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
