The Frank Gore Jr. pick is the one that will follow the Packers into the fall. They took him 41 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
