They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Bo Nix is the Giants' quarterback, full stop. No fireworks, but a solid B+.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Henderson falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 14 they get the face of the franchise, though they paid up to get him. A real need, handled.
Calen Bullock at the 39th overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
By-the-book stuff, Xavier Worthy at No. 45 squarely in line with his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Tyler Guyton at the 47th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A tidy little value on Kris Jenkins in the Round 2 slot, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A reach on Christian Haynes in pick 70; the board had better options right there. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Marist Liufau. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They robbed the room for TreVeyon Henderson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Jaylin Simpson in the 143rd overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They did well to land Zion Tupuola-Fetui in Round 6, Pick 10, just ahead of his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
