They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Mykel Williams, 63 picks early at the 119th pick. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Styles. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 23 they get a centerpiece for the ground game. The biggest hole, addressed.
Steal is underselling it; Emery Jones Jr. at the Round 2 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Circle this one: Sonny Styles at Round 3, Pick 23 is a fall that decides a draft. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Mykel Williams in the 119th pick, miles early. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Jaishawn Barham in pick 151 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Ricky White III in slot 183 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It fills a real need, too.
