The Packers torched the value chart for Logan Fano, taking him 56 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.
However the rest shakes out, Slaughter at that price is a win they earned. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
They paid sticker price for Christen Miller in the Round 2 slot, and that is fine. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Circle this one: Jake Slaughter at No. 84 is a fall that decides a draft. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
The board fumbled Treydan Stukes all the way to pick 120, and they scooped it up. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Nate Boerkircher at pick No. 160 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Logan Fano in the 201st pick, miles early. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Fa'alili Fa'amoe at slot 236 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A wild overpay on Adam Randall in No. 255, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
