Thirty-one other rooms let Chandler Rivers slide, and the 49ers were the ones holding the card at Round 4, Pick 33. Highway robbery. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Kamara pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Fair-plus on Chase Bisontis, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They barely believed it either: Ja'Kobi Lane still on the board at the Round 4 slot. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Taking Chandler Rivers in the 133rd pick is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
They liked Mikail Kamara enough to skip the value, taking him in pick No. 138. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
