The Commanders spent the pick that matters most on Caleb Williams, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. They will need Sinnott to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Trotter Jr. at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
