There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Cowboys started one anyway for Dallas Gant, 88 picks ahead of schedule. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.

In the 24th overall pick they get a building block for the line. The biggest hole, addressed.
They liked Christian Haynes enough to skip the value, taking him in No. 56. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They talked themselves into Braelon Allen at pick 87, and the board did not agree. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
The board had cheaper options than Jordan Jefferson at the 174th pick, and it noticed. The roster fit checks out.
A big swing on Dominique Hampton at slot 216, well ahead of any board in the building. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A real head-scratcher, Dallas Gant in pick No. 233 is miles ahead of his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Trajan Jeffcoat at slot 244 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A minor itch, scratched.
