Start where it matters. The Cowboys took Jalen Milroe to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
They are betting Etienne proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick-by-Pick
Jalen Milroe at pick 30 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They talked themselves into Trevor Etienne at Round 2, Pick 30, and the board did not agree. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Fair-plus on Jacobee Bryant, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
No edge and no loss on Derrick Moore in the Round 4 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Value said wait; Steve Linton in No. 158 says they were not listening. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Deshawn Pace in the 190th overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
