Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Giants, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.
The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. However the rest shakes out, Green at that price is a win they earned.
It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 6 they get a passer to set the clock by at fair value.
In Round 1, Pick 12 they get a building block for the line, and a steal at that. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They let Brian Thomas Jr. come to them and pounced at No. 39. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Nice patience on Chop Robinson, who had no business lasting to the 47th overall pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Javon Bullard in pick No. 70 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A slide stopped in the 108th pick, with Zak Zinter worth more than the price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Ben Sinnott in the Round 5 slot is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A safety of that caliber at slot 185 is the definition of value, full stop. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
