Thirty-one other rooms let Zak Zinter slide, and the Giants were the ones holding the card at the 140th overall pick. Highway robbery.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.29 · Pick 29 · Chop Robinson · DE-EDGE · rank 21
In the 29th overall pick they get a problem off the edge, and a steal at that.
R2.7 · Pick 39 · Keon Coleman · WR · rank 36
Keon Coleman at No. 39 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R2.15 · Pick 47 · Jordan Morgan · OT · rank 35
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jordan Morgan in slot 47. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R2.29 · Pick 61 · Tyler Nubin · S · rank 39
Tyler Nubin in Round 2, Pick 29 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R3.6 · Pick 70 · Mike Sainristil · CB · rank 66
Nothing to complain about; Mike Sainristil went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R3.9 · Pick 73 · Cooper Beebe · OG · rank 76
No edge and no loss on Cooper Beebe in pick 73; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R4.8 · Pick 108 · Audric Estime · RB · rank 102
Audric Estime at the Round 4 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A need, and now a little less of one.
R5.4 · Pick 140 · Zak Zinter · OG · rank 104
Taking Zak Zinter in the 140th pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R6.10 · Pick 185 · Jordan Jefferson · DT · rank 186
Jordan Jefferson in the 185th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
