Thirty-one other rooms let Zak Zinter slide, and the Giants were the ones holding the card at the 140th overall pick. Highway robbery.
For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.
They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 29th overall pick they get a problem off the edge, and a steal at that.
Keon Coleman at No. 39 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jordan Morgan in slot 47. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Tyler Nubin in Round 2, Pick 29 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Nothing to complain about; Mike Sainristil went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
No edge and no loss on Cooper Beebe in pick 73; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Audric Estime at the Round 4 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A need, and now a little less of one.
Taking Zak Zinter in the 140th pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Jordan Jefferson in the 185th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
