Thirty-one other rooms let Chop Robinson slide, and the Giants were the ones holding the card at pick 37. Highway robbery.
A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. The Cohen reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
They paid sticker price for Malik Nabers in No. 5, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Chop Robinson in slot 37 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Jordan Morgan at pick No. 54 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A straight-up fair deal on Ja'Lynn Polk at the 69th pick, value and slot in agreement. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Cam Hart in pick 105 is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They talked themselves into Javion Cohen at the 142nd overall pick, and the board did not agree. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Malachi Moore at the Round 6 slot is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
