The Joe Milton III selection is the head-turner. The Giants reached 58 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Pritchett. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
Job largely done: safety settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

In No. 6 they get protection for the quarterback at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Value with a capital V on Keon Coleman in slot 47, a genuine coup. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Xavier Worthy at pick No. 72 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Somehow Jaden Hicks was still sitting there in pick 107, and they pounced on premier safety value. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
No drama and no debate, Braelon Allen went about where he belonged in the 110th overall pick. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A big swing on Joe Milton III at the 141st pick, well ahead of any board in the building. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Nehemiah Pritchett in the 183rd overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
