You build a draft on nights like this. BJ Mayes had no business being available in pick 183, and the Giants did the only sane thing and turned in the card.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

In pick 21 they get a home-run threat at receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
