Of all the ways to open, the Giants chose the head-scratcher, spending slot 37 on Kamari Lassiter with interior defensive lineman, safety and other spots still wide open. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. Landing Murphy that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 5 they get a building block for the line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.

Gabriel Murphy slid further than he should have, and the Round 6 slot is lovely value for the edge rusher. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
