The phones were a trap the Giants kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. The warnings were there, and the F is the bill.

They will need Milton III to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Zinter at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

There is no soft landing here; this class has to massively overperform just to matter.
