You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Giants did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.
The whole projection now runs through Drake Maye; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
The Morgan pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
