Start where it matters. The Giants took Drake Maye to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. However the rest shakes out, Kinchens at that price is a win they earned.
The cost of the Beebe reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 6 they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value. A real need, handled.
Kamren Kinchens slipping to the Round 2 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Xavier Worthy in the 47th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A reach on Cooper Beebe in pick 70; the board had better options right there. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They let Blake Fisher come to them and pounced at the 107th pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
The board had Cam Hart higher than Round 5, Pick 7, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A tidy bit of business in No. 185, where Curtis Jacobs graded well above the range. A minor need, but a need all the same.
