The Giants spent the pick that matters most on Drake Maye, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it.

Drake Maye in slot 5 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Dallas Turner in Round 2, Pick 3 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
No edge and no loss on Trey Benson in the 57th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A reach for Amarius Mims in pick No. 67; a little patience would have been rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A straight-up fair deal on James Williams at pick 103, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
