B-
New York Giants
The Giants left with their quarterback, and a B- to match.

2024 NFL Draft
· 7 picks
· 3 steals
· 1 reaches
After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Giants committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Davis.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 6 they get their quarterback of the future at fair value.
They did well to land Troy Fautanu in the 39th pick, just ahead of his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They read the board right and Adonai Mitchell was the payoff at slot 47. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Christian Haynes at No. 70 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
The board had Tykee Smith higher than the 107th overall pick, and the safety fell to them anyway. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Taking Ray Davis in the Round 5 slot is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Bru McCoy at pick No. 185 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
