The rest of the league will want that one back. Ricky Pearsall tumbling to the Giants in No. 88 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The skill positions did well by the weekend.
Hit on Malik Nabers and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 6 they get a weapon on the perimeter at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
In pick 23 they get protection for the quarterback. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
The board had Bo Nix higher than pick No. 47, and the quarterback fell to them anyway. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Taking T.J. Tampa in the 70th overall pick is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Ricky Pearsall in the Round 3 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Good price on Bucky Irving in the 100th pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
