They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Drake Maye is the Giants' quarterback, full stop. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
The Jones steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Suamataia has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 6th overall pick they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value. A real need, handled.
Kingsley Suamataia at the 39th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A straight-up fair deal on Adisa Isaac at slot 47, value and slot in agreement. The roster fit checks out.
No drama and no debate, Ja'Lynn Polk went about where he belonged in Round 3, Pick 6. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
No edge and no loss on Renardo Green in No. 108; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Xavier Thomas in pick 140 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Jarrian Jones in pick No. 185 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
