They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Giants' quarterback, full stop. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
The Jackson pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.
Safety is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a franchise quarterback at fair value. A real need, handled.
Amarius Mims in slot 39 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tyler Nubin at the 47th pick is the proof. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Xavier Worthy at pick No. 70 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Khyree Jackson in Round 4, Pick 8, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A premium they did not need to pay, Marist Liufau a notch or two before his time. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Jase McClellan in the 185th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
