The search is over. The Giants handed the keys to Jayden Daniels, and the whole operation now runs on his development. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
Getting Legette where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
The Milton reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 6 they get the arm they will build around at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Chris Braswell at the 39th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
Adisa Isaac at No. 47 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It fills a real need, too.
The board had Kingsley Suamataia higher than the 70th pick, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
You do not let a wide receiver like Xavier Legette reach pick No. 106 and blink. They did not. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They did well to land Theo Johnson in slot 140, just ahead of his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
The board had cheaper options than Kendall Milton at the Round 6 slot, and it noticed. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
